Help make face masks - downloadable pattern and instructions

With shortages of essential protective equipment for frontline staff, Fashion Designer Luke Barber was inspired to start making face masks for care assistants, home helps and others.  The demand was so great that Luke has created a pattern and instructions to enable many other home sewers across Inishowen to help out.  Watch the video, download the simple pattern below and join Luke's team of volunteers.  The Exchange is helping by taking orders and coordinating the distribution of the masks - we need several hundred masks urgently, so please help if you can!  Luke has supplies of elastic and some donated fabric for any who need it.  Email: [email protected] when you have masks ready.

UPDATE:  Please note we've discovered that some elastic doesn't hold up to washing so feel free to substitute ribbon or fabric ties for the elastic or to add fabric loops (so people can threat through their own elastic after washing.
